halfway to Memphis the king of nothin' at all black crows on the fences sailin' through Arkansas dreampt you had a daughter and she slept in my arms at the motel pool by the water I carried her to the car and I've been dreamin' about oceans like dyin' in my sleep the smell of kools and suntan lotion just sinkin' into the deep I've been hoarding my emotions the clutter its out of hand dreamin' about Kentucky like it was some kind of promised land all these grainy memories splashed across the walls trinkets trash and treasures all flood down the hall and I'm crossin' over the state line withdrawal and all halfway to Memphis the king of nothin' at all

Blue Healer 03:01
I bought a bottle of red and slept on the beach rememberin' those cozy times with her hidin' up there under the sheets the sinister waves lurkin' just out of reach lickin' my wounds through the dream bottom ooze the blood salt and sea a cross on the wall a rat in the street roaches down the halls of the ghost island hotel fantasy all the little ways she was sweet to me like lost jewelry and gold the candy memories unfold rotting my brains' crooked teeth and I'm goin' down to that dirty ocean goin' down to where it says DO NOT SWIM I'm goin down in the toxic water goin' down to the rock bottom gonna rise up and sail again

comin' down the purple hills the pink pills wrapped up in cigarette cellophane the blank spaces I can't fill fresh kills out the interstate and its mornin' again Its always mornin again hopin I’m not too late born too late out of time out of state plates Actin’ like a gumshoe Lonely women and cheap booze searchin' for a clue for your next move actin' like à gum shoe In that tropical monsoon Through the dirty traffic with the Miami blues and I've listened to all you lies checked off ail your alibis only the best daddy money can buy anything neglected I’m none the wise and they say its almost always somebody close You’d least suspect right under your nose But the truth is what I need the most My eyes could see it but my mind just won’t

anywhere with you That’s where I wanna live nowhere motel room by the ocean I don't care where you've been what you did or who with You fell into this dream broke through the skin the tear away blues beneath a glowin exit sign a sadness blasted through a childhood of lies smoldered in a darkness hollow, eyed In the neon light anywhere with you don't you leave my sight inside this gin palace a lovely tropical breeze a fever like a crown the gods adorned me its been years on a bender and no I'm not ready to leave anywhere with you pour us another drink and dance with me darlin a torn gown of sea and sand dance with me darlin' to a far Off forgotten land, slippin' into madness a place to go to feel free anywhere with you my sweet aisling
6.
